We cl ose the roa ad for three hours once e each fortn night. Then the children n can pl lay in the ro oad, like I us sed to. They y ride bikes s, they skip, they draw on the road d with ch halk. It’s am mazing. Som me local res sidents wer ren’t sure ab bout it at fir rst, but now w they ca an clearly s see the ben nefits. Even n people who w don’t ha ave children n come into o the st treet and jo oin in. ‘Pla aying Out’ i is quite dif fficult to org ganize bec cause you need pe ermission f from local government g t to close the t road, and a you ne ed at least t four ad dults to be r responsible e for the chil ldren, but it ’s definitely y worth the t trouble.
